Theodore “Ted” Catino and his wife, after working separately at their respective careers, decided in 1986 to enter the automotive financing field together. Seeing a need for military families to obtain loans from car dealerships, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Catino cofounded Security National Automotive Acceptance Corporation (SNAAC).

In the company's early years, Theodore Catino assumed a sales role while his wife handled the office work. After securing a capitalization of $250,000, they set up an operation in which he called on dealers and she handled accounts payable. SNAAC grew to the point where it had lines of credit of some $300 million with operations in 30 states.

Located in Mason, Ohio, SNAAC won several accolades for its involvement in the community. The Thank You Foundation gave the company its Community Service Award. SNAAC also was named the Greater Cincinnati Small Business of the Year.

Immersed in a business atmosphere since youth, Mr. and Mrs. Catino’s son TJ now leads 625 Investments LLC in Boston. His responsibilities include managing an opportunistic mutual fund, formulating the firm's strategic direction, and determining investment philosophy. Ted Catino presently helps individuals as a business mentor and transition and interview coach.
